She later became Certified as a Childbirth Educator and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and earned her Master’s Degree from the University of California, San Francisco, as a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist. Nancy was instrumental in the establishment of the first hospital based lactation, education, and retail center in the country at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, where she was employed for ten years.
